Q: What are the age groups for this camp?

A: The age groups are 7- 11 and 12-17 years.

Q: What are the dates and duration of the camp?

A: There are two (2) cycles. The duration for each cycle is three (3) weeks.

Cycle 2: July 29 – August 16

A: Classes will be held Monday to Friday from 9 am to 3 pm.

A : The following topics will be covered:

Animation

Children can create characters and make them move, just like in our favorite cartoons. Animation is about bringing pictures or drawings to life. It involves creating moving images or cartoons by showing a sequence of pictures very quickly. It’s used in movies, video games, and other media to tell stories or make things look more interesting.

Virtual Reality: Using computer technology to create a simulated environment that is believable, interactive, computer-generated and explorable.

Innovation/Electronics
Here the child taps into their creativity and imagination to make things better and more exciting. It’s like being an inventor and finding new solutions to everyday problems, making the world a more interesting place! It involves thinking creatively to improve existing products, services, or ways of doing things to make them more useful, efficient, or enjoyable.

Programming
The child designs and builds special machines called robots which perform tasks automatically. We can program robots to perform tasks like picking up objects, or moving around.

Lego Robotics
Introducing solar robot kits that can roll, crawl, and are powered by the sun.

Electronics with Smart Home Automation: A safe and fun way to introduce participants to the basics of electrical engineering, introducing the use of smart plugs and switches, for voice control of Alexa and Google Home.

Drone Technology: A comprehensive introduction to drone building and flying, covering essential concepts, practical skills and safety measures.

A: Microsoft Word or Word is a software application that allows the user to create professional-quality documents, reports, letters and résumés. At the end of this course, you will have a complete understanding of the higher functions of Word. The participant will learn how to work with extremely large documents, produce well-defined forms and use macros to speed through any repetitive functions.

A: Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program that is used to manage, analyze and present data. This Advanced Microsoft Excel training class is designed for students to gain the skills necessary to use pivot tables, audit and analyze worksheet data, utilize data tools, collaborate with others and create and manage macros.

A: Microsoft Access is a database management systems application software program, which allows users to have a collection of related data. A: Virtual Platform Training is a method in which virtual environment is used by an instructor to show, explain or test certain skills that can help others to learn something. The instructors, as well as students, have to use some effective video conferencing software like Google Meet and Zoom Meeting to communicate with each other.

Q: How many billboards are available?

A: TITL manages five (5) static (non-digital) billboards located across the island. For billboard availability, queries and bookings, please contact the Business Development, Marketing and Communication Department.

A: The cost to rent each billboard is $2500 per month.

A: The cost of the billboard does not include artwork or placement costs. Clients can provide their artwork or ask that TITL outsource these services on their behalf at an additional cost that is equal to the cost charged by the company outsourced.

Mobile Emergency Response Alert (MERA)

Q: What is the MERA service?

A: The Mobile Emergency Response Alert (MERA) service provides users with easy access to first responders in Tobago in the event of an emergency. The user is provided with a mobile device that can be worn around the neck or wrist. Users can contact emergency assistance by the push of a button. If a fall occurs, the device will initiate a call for emergency assistance. The MERA service includes:

  • Delivery of device to location
  • Device testing and activation
  • Access to first responders
  • Ongoing technical support

A: The MERA service can benefit the following persons:

  • Elderly persons living alone
  • Persons with chronic diseases such as diabetes, cancer, heart disease, stroke etc.
  • Persons with disabilities
  • Persons who require monitoring

  • Peace of mind knowing that emergency assistance is one push of a button away

Q: What is Pearson VUE?

A: Pearson VUE provides computer-based testing for Information Technology (IT), academic, government and professional testing programs around the world. Pearson VUE provides a full suite of services from test development to data management and delivers exams through the world’s most comprehensive and secure network of Test Center Locations in 175 countries.

 

Q: Where in Tobago is the Pearson Vue Test Centre located?

A: The only Pearson VUE Testing Centre in Tobago is located at Tobago Information Technology Limited (211 building), 48 Signal Hill Main Road, Tobago.

 

Q: Is onsite exam scheduling available?

A: Candidates are responsible for scheduling their exams. Test Administrators can assist in the scheduling process where necessary.

 

Q: How many persons can your Test Centre accommodate?

A: The maximum accommodation capacity is six (6) candidates at a time.

 

Q: How will I know if your Test Centre offers the exam I am interested in?

A: During the scheduling process, you will be asked to select a test centre.  If our centre is an option to select, we are authorised to facilitate that exam.  You can also contact us at 639-1987 ext 110 or 211 for verification purposes.

A: None. All required stationery will be provided by the Test Administrator at the Testing Centre.

Q: What is a Snap Ad?

A: A Snap Ad is a short, approximately fifteen (15) seconds, voice-over that promotes an event, a business, its products and or service. Snap Ads will be heard by callers of the 211 Centre.

 

Q: How many persons will hear my ad?

A: The ads are played via our 211 Contact Centre which receives over one thousand (1000) calls per day. Ads will be heard by over one thousand (1000) potential clients within Trinidad and Tobago.

A: We do not place timestamps in every text; however, we can at the request of the client. Please note that timestamps are always placed where content is inaudible.
